Rent Office Space is a service of Parallel Directions Ltd (PDL), a commercial property consultancy that only works for commercial tenants and owner-occupiers, not landlords. This eliminates the many conflicts of interest common to the property industry.

The Rent Office Space website grew out of the work PDL does finding offices for its clients and planning and managing the relocation process. This is such a significant part of the business that Rent Office Space was a logical next step in the evolution of this office finding work for clients.

Founder and chief executive officer, Peter Scott, is one of New Zealand's foremost experts in the commercial property leasing field. He has more than 30 years experience in property, project and strategic business management, from which he has developed unique insights and expertise from both sides of the transaction.

Peter was a landlord for a multinational property investment company, so he understands the motivations and angles. He also understands things from the commercial tenant's perspective because he's been there too, managing the property function for a major New Zealand corporate with 55 leased branches throughout the country.

As a landlord Peter had lots of tenants, and as a tenant he dealt with lots of landlords. He is a lease expert, a skilled negotiator and an expert office finder.
